We met on Thursday 15th March to hold our annual meeting of 2012 at the headquarters of Frivilligcentra Malmö. The old board was present as well as most of those who couldn’t wait to run for the new one. Hillevi and Caryn kindly took the positions of the chairman and secretary for the meeting. We started with a yummy fika, updated each other about what has been happening in everyone’s colourful and busy lives in the recent past and fought a bit with the projector.
Then the meeting was commenced, in an excited atmosphere filled with expectations and perhaps just a little bit of nervosity. After everyone introduced themselves we got down to the “serious stuff”. We reviewed what has been done in the previous year, happily shared the pluses and grinned at the minuses of our various activities and events, noting them down for future reference. Listening to it all at once, one realized that we actually have done a whole range of amazing things! Considering all that happened just thanks to the time and enthusiasm the Malmö volunteers devoted to Tamam after their school and work hours, or – hopefully not so often! – by putting off their school and work duties – it’s just incredible! Though of course, we never forget that there is a lot to improve and a lot more that can be done with more passion, care and longsightedness.
Then we went through how much money we spent last year and how much we expect to spend on our activities in 2012. These, to name just a few, will include the Tamam ”evergreens”, that is homework support and the activity groups, as well as a series of Tamam-focused seminars and discussions organised exclusively for Tamam by our brand new seminar group, hopefully yet another biking school in the summer and – if the luck is on our side and our effort does not die off, possibly a new project? We’ll keep you posted about that!
Now – I know you can’t wait any longer! – let’s have a look at who was elected to be in the board of Tamam Malmö in 2012:
Souciance Eqdam Rashti is the President! Thumbs up for this experienced Tamamer!
Priyanka John, Zuzana Trnkova, Helena Jonsson and Martin Ring, all Tamamers by heart and soul, with rich and varied Tamam experiences and engagements, are board members without portfolio as of now. The roles of the vice chairman, the treasurer and the secretary and other responsibilities will be assigned at the constitutional board meeting on the 2nd April.
Alice Calmettes and Kristyna Peychlova have become the suppleants (and directly were renamed to ”janitors”) of the Malmö 2012 board. We just couldn’t let go of the enjoyable, friendly and passionate atmosphere of the Tamam Malmö board meetings!

Congrats to everyone!
Finally, thanks to Fredrik Bruhn and Katarina Jeraeus who left the board – not Tamam though! – after a long and fruitful engagement in the organisation, for all their hard work and the fun we have had together! And last but most importantly, THANKS TO ALL OF YOU, Tamam volunteers, for being who you are, for your smiles, for your care, for your criticisms, for your ideas and for every single second you spend and enjoy Tamam-ing! ENTHUSIASM rulez the world!
Hugs & kramar!
