Tamam i Kirgizistan
In the summer of 2009 Tamam visited thirty different youth organizations in Kyrgyzstan working for children and young people in social exclusion; street children, minorities, refugees and the disabled. The purpose of the trip was to exchange experiences concerning working methods, learn about the needs of vulnerable groups of children in the country and identify future partners to Tamam.
Various collaborations be developed in the future with a handful of Kyrgyz organizations from this network of contacts. For example, volunteers from Kyrgyzstan will be received in Sweden, joint training courses and youth exchanges will be implemented and in the long term development projects for vulnerable children and young people will be designed in close collaboration. With support from the Swedish fund Folke Bernadottes Minnesfond four Tamam volunteers will go to Kyrgyzstan in April 2010. More information coming soon.
